There’s one special place located in the southern tip of Colombia called Leticia. It is situated in the middle of Amazon jungles and connects three countries, Colombia, Peru and Brazil. Getting off the plane, I immediately felt in love with this little jungle town. All the cells of my body were awaken and nourished by the smells of soils and trees. It felt like home. It felt like after a long journey, finally arrived at a place where one can take some real rest. I know, the nature is good for the soul.
When the Magic Mango meets his first Sunset, the whole world becomes silent.
In the calmest boarder region I’ve ever visited, the Magic Mango is on a small boat to Peru. Here, even foreigners don’t need to go through a passport check to visit one city/country from another.
When the Magic Mango saw these cute river dolphins for the first time, he was so happy and excited that he even forgot to take a selfie with them. :p
Yes, they are extremely cute in real life.
The Magic Mango Family. :)
One day, one view, on one side of the Amazon River.
The Magic Mango is enjoying his second Sunset. :)
Having a closer look.
Boats, huts, trees. A Cat and a Mango. <3
The city Medellin has a very special touch. It’s a small city in the middle of mountains, it’s the home of the notorious Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, it hosted the famous artist Fernando Botero who has very interesting paintings and sculptures, and it’s the only city in Colombia who provides a subway system, as for 2016.
In the middle of Medellin, there is a botanic garden. It’s only a stone throw’s distance to where we live. Sometimes after breakfast, we would take the Magic Mango toy family there to have a walk. We enjoys a calm reading session under a big mango tree while the toys are playing and exploring around.
One of the biggest attractions of this botanic garden is the one piece of rain-forest it brought to the city. Walking into its paved wooden hike way, it does feel like going back to the nature, if one can successfully ignore the sounds produced by the surrounding traffics.
The first animal we meet during the ‘jungle hike’.
The impressive scary reptile with super calm and relaxed character.
A little guy with some color. :)
How does a cat feel when she sees a beautiful bird?
This cute little bird can be seen in many parts of Medellin. It’s also available in the color of yellow. ^^
While one cat is playing with bird, the other is jumping onto a tree. :D
Home, sweet home. The Magic Mango on a big mango tree. :)
